Scribe & Imagine is a free, hosted MCP connector. Add it to Claude (web, desktop, mobile or Claude Code), sign in with Google, paste your OpenAI key once, and ask Claude to make and edit images or transcribe meetings, calls and videos up to 4 hours — with speaker labels, subtitles and an upload page.

Make and edit images
Describe it and Claude writes a detailed prompt for OpenAI's image models, then refines the picture with you — or edits your own photo from a link.
Transcribe long recordings
Meetings, calls, podcasts, videos up to 4 hours. Cut at pauses, sent in parallel, back in about a minute an hour.
Know who said what
Speaker labels that stay consistent across the whole recording, then rename “Speaker A” to real names.
Pay only for audio, not silence
Long pauses are trimmed before sending, and the same file is never paid for twice.
Links or uploads
Paste a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive link, or drop the file on the upload page — up to 450 MB, deleted once transcribed.
Subtitles
Timestamped transcripts with .srt and .vtt downloads, ready for YouTube or your video editor.
Set up in two minutes
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it Scribe & Imagine and paste

What it costs
Scribe & Imagine itself is free. Work runs on your own OpenAI key, so OpenAI bills you directly at their list prices — nothing is marked up, and nothing is charged until you use it. Typical costs:

Questions
Why do I need my own OpenAI key?
So the service can stay free, and so you are never limited by someone else's quota. Your key is encrypted before it is stored, is never shown again in full, and is only used for the work you ask for. Remove it any time on your account page.
Which apps does it work with?
Claude on the web, desktop and mobile (custom connectors), Claude Code, and any other app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in.
Do you keep my recordings?
No. Uploaded files are deleted as soon as the transcript is done. Transcripts and images stay in your account until you delete them (or delete the account), and only the newest images are kept.
Image generation says my organization must be verified.
OpenAI requires a one-time organization verification for its image models. Do it at platform.openai.com → Settings → Organization → General.
